c'est la vie

people sometimes ask me, why do i dive so much?

because i love the sea, and chasing fish underwater.

days of sunshine and sea breeze, peace and tranquility, sand and laughter.

nights spent lazing by the beach, quiet strains of music in the air, silvery streaks of shooting stars flickering across the sky.

descending to the depths, the brilliant corals and colourful marine life waiting to welcome you to their world

coming up from a dive to a night sky full of stars, the chill kiss of the evening breeze in the air

the sunrises and sunsets that make each day memorable

the sea, with her changeable moods and temperamental currents, affected by the phases of the moon

good company, nights spent snacking, suppering, or just watching the world go past, talking about life or nothing at all.

this is why we dive.

back in the water

so i went diving again, after way too long. and i'm still alive. yayness.

in a pinch, spent the trip just chilling in the sun and enjoying life and the water, learning to take photos all over again, and practicing skills i forgot half a lifetime ago. along with the usual temptations of DSLRs, strobes, macro lenses and magnifiers (i blame chao for this), but my photos turned out relatively fine (at least i think they did) although i still need a lot of work...

photos on facebook cos they're easier to upload, lazy to upload at the moment. off to tioman next for dive camp 07!
