dear diary
today, i woke up to realise i had the following to do:
1) make a 1hr presentation on human rights and religion which i hadn't prepared for
2) collect my cards from the post office
3) wash 2 weeks' worth of laundry
4) clean 2 weeks' worth of dust from my room
5) buy groceries
6) catch up on lost sleep
so after surviving the presentation and spending 2 hours uploading my chicago photos on facebook, and nearly dying from captioning as well as looking at all the food and realising i hadn't eaten the whole day, i went to get my cards.
the sun was setting, the sky was dark, the air was cold.
'tonight' by stars was playing on my ipod, and while i was walking to the post office, it started SNOWING.
this is why i love exchange so (well, besides the madcap travelling i've been up to)
note: granted, it was a light snowfall, more of a flurry, but it was snow nonetheless, and suited the mood perfectly. so now i'm freezing in my room and getting ready to prepare dinner. and loving the fact that i have a card at last.

the dashboard thingamajig ain't as nice to listen to tho.
have you tried incubus? i like their beginnings - they get a tad heavy on the ears in the middle segment but generally the songs usually sound awesome
