distractions of grandeur
amidst researching for my essay (the introduction of which will shortly come up once i've written the basic draft), i got sidetracked by the smithsonian life list. since i've spent time at the smithsonian in DC, the name caught my eye, as well as the items on the list. so here they are, with a quote thrown in for good measure (taken off the site). i skipped the headings and comments, so for the full article and further descriptions, go here.

looking at the above list, there're 2 places i've already been to, 2 that i will probably do by the end of exchange, 4 that i hope to have done by the end of exchange, and 2 that i reallyreally hope to do in the near future (if i only had the cash). the rest either don't interest me all that much or i'm in no hurry to do. go figure =P
right, so much for the break...now back to saving the sharks.
